How to become a volunteer

Interested in volunteering?

The Pediatric Stroke Research Center at UCSF is looking for enthusiatic and dedicated college students to help with clinical, translational and basic science research. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic all volunteering opportunities are remote until further notice.

We do not require any previous research experience. We encourage all students to apply and recommend the following:

  • Completion of at least one semester of college prior to applying (we recommend students apply for summer volunteer positions during their winter recess)
  • Interest in Pediatrics and/or Neurology research
  • Flexible Schedule

Our Volunteer Program is full at the moment. Please check back in the fall to see if positions are available.

Interested in volunteering, but still in high school?

As a high school student, you can add your name to our Volunteer Waitlist. We will contact you when positions you may qualify for open up, and we recommend you apply to our Volunteer Program after your first semester of college.

Our Volunteer Waitlist is full at the moment.
